Today I am so excited to bring you into the conversation that I was able to have with Mindy DeGering (@motivationmindy on instagram). Mindy is a mom to three boys and her passion is helping you live your healthiest life, even when you don’t wanna. She uses the phrase DO IT ANYWAY to help us all push past our excuses, stop relying on “motivation” and make is more simple and easy to live a happy, healthy life.

What we talk about:

Mindy grew up “chubby” and just always thought that was going to be her life. After her second baby she decided it was time to make a change. She started small and as she saw success she started an Instagram to document and help show others that it can be done. You can find her INSTAGRAM here.

Being a healthy person and losing weight isn’t black and white. Mindy’s purpose is showing that you can be happy and healthy-but still live your life. We talk about how motivation will come and go, and that by just doing something small and building on that will help you reach your goals and that you live your life and just make small healthy adjustments instead of a complete overhaul.

Not giving up foods. Because it’s not realistic.

Diet Culture and Self Love- how sometimes that pendulum can swing too far one way or the other and how you can find balance in the two.

How to be motivated all the time (spoiler- no one is!)

You need routine and staying true to a commitment you make to yourself

Getting your family involved and kids eating healthy.

Make it fit into your life- and not an extra thing.
